Income Tax Planning and Tax Preparation
Every year Congress changes the income tax laws and each variation seems more confusing than the last. Who has time to keep up with income tax brackets, income tax rates and all the other mountains of ever-changing tax laws? As a successful small business owner, your primary focus is on your customers, products, or services — not income taxes. That’s why Randy Elder makes the time to understand all the changes so he can provide you with timely advice regarding:
- Corporate, Partnership and Individual income tax returns
- Income tax rates and bracket changes
- Quarterly estimated tax payments
- Year-round tax planning
- Property tax returns
- Payroll tax returns
- Sales tax returns
- Tax projections
Individual income tax returns start at $400 and business tax returns start at $1,000. If you would like to make an appointment before tax season, we would be pleased to review your prior 2 year returns and give you an estimate of the fee we would have charged.
Not all tax preparers have the same qualifications. CPA’s have a 4 year college degree, and now must have and additional year before sitting for the CPA exam. The CPA exam covers accounting, taxes, ethics, auditing and other professional topics. An enrolled agent does not need a college degree but takes a test administered by the IRS. Having either of these license does not necessarily make the person an expert in income tax. When choosing your tax professional, make sure you check references and have a meeting in person prior to hiring someone.
